There was some talk of this on the other forums (are they still going be supported), but I have been doing a lot of work lately preparing ukulele lead sheets on another product that makes dealing with ukulele fretboards quite a bit easier. I have found that I can even export MusicXML files from that program to Finale, and ukulele fretboards appear (albeit too long and in the wrong position). Is there a way to mass edit the appearance and location of chords?
So here is the question: is there an easy way to add ukulele fretboard in Finale? In the other forum, there was talk in the past about opening existing documents and using charts already there and so on. I had secretly hoped this would have been addressed in Finale 2014 or Finale 25 (the ukulele Finale forum threads are from 2012).
A search in the knowledge base doesn't turn up anything (including this community) so I thought I would ask for my own sake and the sake of others.
What I will say is that I have tried the process of adding ukulele fretboard from scratch in Finale...not easy. A lot of clicking and menus to deal with (it seems that you have to set each chord to ukulele, and then create the chord). It makes me highly respect the Finale gurus at Hal Leonard who make all those ukulele books for Finale.
And if ukulele chords are not a natural part of Finale, can they be--in Finale 26 (27, whatever)?
