Finale 25 error message... "This program can only be installed on versions of Windows designed for the following processor architectures: X64".

 

What to do?

If this 84 bit version of Finale is what you must have, then the simple solution is to change your architecture to 64 Bit.

Hi Jeff

 

If you're running Windows 7, then you could upgrade the operating system to Windows 7 64 bit or Windows 8.

If you're running Windows XP or Vista, then you *might* be able to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit

Unless your computer is *very* old, you should not need to upgrade the hardware.

If running a 32bit version of Windows, you have to install a 64 bit version. The hardware has to be 64 bit compatible — check with the manufacturer of yours.

 

Back everything up. Changing from Win 7 32 bit to Win 7 64 bit will require erasing your boot drive and reinstalling or restoring your apps and work files from backup.
