I need to synchronize the tempo of an audio, that have repeats on different Tempo Tracks (dilations, accelerations, live performance info etc). I need this for future export to SmartMusic. How can this be done in Finale?

Sincerely,
Igor Pakhomov

I'd like to make myself clear, maybe I didn't put it right last time. Suppose there's this part of score that repeats twice. Everything's the same, except for the tempo. I mean, the tempos in those repeats are different. When you put the sign of repeat in Finale - it will play the parts exactly the same, including the tempos. BUT, when it's played by real players, they most probably, unless they are some kind of robots playing strictly to their metronomes, they will not play the two repeats ideally, there will be some discrepancies no matter what. And tempos will be the first to differ, no doubt. So, my question is - how can I sync those live performance tempo discrepancies with Finale notes? The SM titles have it, and I really do want it, too :) ! What do you think can be done?

Hi Igor

You can create and add tempo expressions for each repeat.

When you create the expression, you can set the expression to play only on pass x in the playback tab

Have a look at the Manual entry for the expression designer The manual page for Finale 25 can be found

https://usermanuals.finalemusic.com/FinaleWin/Content/Finale/IDD_PLAYBACK_PAGE.htm?cshid=22501

I don't think that the playback tab has changed for a long time so it should be the same for most versions of Finale

Cheers...
