Hi there,

Has anyone else been experience random audio clipping in Finale v25's playback? I've been monitoring it painstakingly for the last few hours, and it doesn't seem to have a pattern (typically because of CPU Overload, Audio Maximization, Overexposure, etc., none of these being the case). I'm wondering if this is just a new problem. It's not world-ending, but it does get old when you've been working for hours on end. Thanks!

Sometimes clipping is related to the audio buffer size set in MIDI/Audio > Device Setup > Audio Setup.

In addition to Adrian's suggestion, you may also want to check MIDI/Audio > Audio Units Banks & Effects and make sure none of the AU banks are clipping during playback.

@Chad Mathis THIS MADE MY DAY I can literally use all of my mixing/mastering plugins in finale.... I had no idea... THIS IS INCREDIBLE. I mean I just wanted to export the audio file as a demo but now it sounds bomb. THANK YOU.

I’m having some issues with audio clipping myself. I’m using Vienna Ensemble Pro 7 with MIR Pro, Vienna Imperial, and Synchron Strings. I have the highest buffer and sample sizes, and I made sure the clips don’t turn red yet still I keep hearing that annoying popping sound. Is there a further remedy for this?
