Using Finale 2014.5 on Mac OS X 10.11. I have an Epson Artisan 1430 printer that can print on 11x17 paper. I would like to print 2 pages on one 11x17 page. I have tried several different ways to do this, but cannot get it to print at the same size as a single 8X11. Whenever it prints side by side, it scales down to a smaller size. I've tried scaling up above 100%, but eventually it starts cutting off the end of the staves before it gets to full size. There are so many ways to affect print size; through Finale page setup, Finale print page, OS X printing, creating PDF's. It's like there are margins on the Epson that can't be overwritten. Even though the printer does borderless printing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

For anyone following this, I figured it out. Here's what I did: deselected the option in the Save and Print preference; in Page Setup I identified the printer, paper size and chose landscape as a layout; in the print dialog box under Finale 2014.5 I chose 2-up and ignore printer margins for n-up printing; under Layout I chose 1 page per sheet. Some of these options may be sound obvious to some, but clearly I was having a problem. BTW, this applied to any file I tried to print, so wasn't a specific file issue.

Up to the v25 release: in File > Page Setup choose A3 and 141%.

Print>Layout   2 pages per sheet.

If there are more than 2 pages then you need to add blank pages up to multiples of 4 then in page range: 4,1,2,3 or   8,1,2,7,6,3,4,5 etc

 

Unfortunately v25 doesn't seem to work like this and I am in an ongoing discussion wit the support team to try to solve the issue.

Robert!
Thank you for your post of FOUR years ago.

I have had a dicken's of a time getting my parts (8.5x11) to print side-by-side on 11x17.

My process is to Export my files to PDF and take that to my excellent print shop (family owned) and have them print from PDF rather than make photocopys.

Smaller parts: 2-4 pages on 11x17 work well.

I overlooked the "2-up" option. Silly me.
