There is a lack of options on my copy of Finale for some unknown reason. On your user manual, it shows that you can add/remove staves, add/remove instruments, as well as have options such as Hide Staff, or Group Attributes. Apparently there's supposed to be a  Staff icon of some sort, however, upon checking every last space of this program, there is no such thing. All I want to do is remove the bass clef of a piece of music since I do not use a piano, I play a woodwind and do not want to be wasting ink and paper.

-Using Windows and Finale Notepad 2012 ( As thats the only one that is available to download.

Edit: Actually nvm, I'l just use Musescore 2, as its not complicated to use, and is organized properly.

Notepad does not have all the options available in the higher capacity programs.

As long as you don't need real time note entry, rest pallette and a whole slew of other features that it doesn't have, MuseScore might well suit your needs. Why not? It's free and worth every penny.

MuseScore is a lot of things but organized properly is certainly not one of them. It is most certainly not a full featured notation program. If you've been getting by on Notepad, that may be your ticket. If not, there's an upgrade path to Finale.
