I purchased and installed my Finale software on a Dell laptop in May of 2016. My daughter recently pulled the laptop off the counter

smashing it on the ground. I had to replace the entire harddrive. The techs managed to save some of the work.

However they reinstalled a new hard drive that finale doesn't recognize. (i think) Any suggestions- cause the company thinks I already have installed and wont let me reauthorize it on the same system with the new drive. Real drag.

Thanks for any help that might come my way

If you don't de authorize Finale before making certain hardware changes, a phone call to MakeMusic customer service is the fastest way to get back in the saddle. They can reset the server to allow more authorizations  

 

With Monday being a federal holiday, you may have to wait till Tuesday.

...And full Finale allows two authorization, which may help tie you over until Tuesday.

If you have already used both authorizations, you can deauthorize a copy not in use and use that authorization to authorize the copy on the new laptop until you contact MM.
