My delete measure stack editing function greys out while I am working on an old file I created 7 or 8 years ago with print music 2007 on a PC. That application had a working delete stack function,  I am using a MAC with OS X el capitan 10.11.6. with Finale 2014.5.   The delete measure stack function works when I open a new document using this rig  Hs anyone run into this kind of problem?

Make sure you have selected the entire stack (including any hidden staves). That is usually the problem when the delete stack command is grayed out.

When i select the measure tool and then select edit, the delete measure stack optio is grayed out

Instead, try this:

Click the Selection Tool, and then double-click the measure.

Double-clicking should select the entire measure stack.

When I do so, I can delete the selected measure stack, by hitting the delete key.
