 Hi all—

 

Working with Finale 25.1.0.232 under MacOS 10.11.6, but this issue has been plaguing me for years....

 

How does one adjust the playback volume for individual percussion "instruments" (i.e. MIDI pitch values) within a percussion staff?  I generally default to the ARIA GM Fusion Drum Kit, but find that the cymbals are almost always ridiculously loud compared to the other instruments in the kit.  How does one tell the cymbal player to chill out, while encouraging the bongos to rock a little harder?

Thanks, Adrian--I was hoping for more granular control, but those pots are certainly a step in the right direction!

I've sometimes used Garritan Ambiance in the MIDI/Audio > Banks and Effects section to boost the dry signal to raise the volume of the entire Aria instance (which would imply resetting/rebalancing the volume of instruments in that instance of the player). That's about the best I can suggest.
