Finale 2014.5 Mac, running Sierra

Hi can someone tell me how to go about setting the FX in Audio Units. I'm confused by two sets of FX, "CONVOLUTION" and "AMBIENCE." Are they supposed to work together somehow? It seems confusing to set two reverb units for one document.

Most users experienced in such advise against using both Ambiance and Convolution (unless you really know what you are doing and want a special effect). Particularly with Convolution, you need to adjust the Send "pot" (knob) in the Aria Mixer to define how much reverb to add.

Thank you J Adrian, but if I use "one", which "one" should i use? Covolution or Ambience? And, if you wouldn't mind taking the time to answer, what's the difference?
