Hi, I am using Finale's latest version. I was working on a symphonic score that has about 250 measures. Everything was fine. Then suddenly from measure 236 on, suddenly today the page is displayed on Landscape format instead of Portrait (I had set up portrait) as usual. Moreover the top two staves have disappeared from after that page. It is a disaster for me because a lot of work went into it. It is clearly a system malfunction as everything was working fine for the past few days. I tried restarting the program, but it still does the same wrong thing...

I tried to reset the document to portrait, but still from page after measure 236 on, it is stuck in landscape view, whih is wrong, and I still lose the top 2 staves

what should I do?H

How is your Page Size set under the Page Layout menu?

If it is set as you want it, then try applying Redefine Pages (also in the Page Layout menu) to All Pages of Current Part/Score.

Added pages conform to the parameters of the Page Format -> Score window. Obviously, these parameters are not the ones that you wish. If you do Page Layout -> Redefine Pages, you will discover that all your pages will look wrong, I'm afraid.

2 solutions :

1) In Page format -> Score, enter the correct values and go to Page Layout -> Redefine Page -> All Pages

or

2) Page Layout Tool : use the menu items  to define the various parameters (page size, orientation, margins, system margins, resize...) and apply to the whole piece.

P.S. : by default, this parameters will also be transferred to Page Format -> Score.
