 I want to Import a  song in Finale into a Crescendo software program, but it won't display as a lead sheet, the way I wrote it. Instead, it is a series of chords, with "Choir Aaahs" at the beginning of each line, and no words.

 

I opened the Export MIDI File Options and tried all three options, but none of them resulted in the lead sheet format when I imported my song into Crescendo.

How can I import this song so it looks like the original song in Finale?

If Crescendo supports MusicXML, export your Finale score in that then import into Crescendo  

 

Even if Crescendo supports MusicXML, don't expect it to look identical (especially if Crescendo doesn't support the full feature set of MusicXML 3.0) but it will certainly be closer than a MIDI export/import.

 

If Crescendo does not support MusicXML, you are probably out of luck
