Steve Murray here: I just created an art song in Finale 25 (Windows 10) and discovered that it crashes and closes when I use human playback. It plays ok when I use the spacebar and click method. I printed what I had done and did a whole new file hoping to gain the edge. Same deal. Finale manages to save the crashed file but I can't create an audio file for later conversion to MP3. So I can't make and save a file with the human playback expressive quality. Any thoughts?
I don't know how to use human playback but I hope you have found help from the Finale Technical support team. I am importing Finale files to Tracktion (Tracktion v5 software is free to all, or Audacity is another option), as I need to add a sung voice in another track. I think this may be worth exploring, as you can manipulate tracks, but I'm new to this software and I don't need human playback at the moment. You shouldn't really need to though.
