Hello, I'm not too much of a techno person!

I have the 2010 version of Finale and I'm trying to save a composition in MP3 file but I can't...

When I look in the Help section, it is said to go to the File tab, and select "Save Special", but I don't even have such an option in my menu (my version is in French, but nothing seems to correspond in anyway to a "Save Special" option.

All I can do is save the Audio File, but once again, in the Help section, they show 2 radio buttons at the bottom of the window, one of this button is to save in MP3 file, but once again, I don't even have that on my computer...

(Also, in order to have the score playing in a "better way", I have selected the Garritan settings so it sounds like there is a little bit of reverb. Could that affect in some way? If it does, is there a way to save the composition so I can either burn it on a CD or put it MP3 with the sound sounding nice, like if it was playing in a concert room?)

I know, asking a lot of questions!  ;)

Could someone help, please? That would be greatly be appreciated!

Thanks,

CB

Finale will not save a file that uses Garritan sounds directly to MP3. You will need to save a WAV file and use a second program (like Audacity) to convert the WAV to an MP3.

Ok, thanks for the tip!

Will I be, however, able to burn it on a CD, if I want to?

Do I have to put it in WAV first?

Thanks,

Like Adrian said, .wav is the only format available if you use the Garritan sounds.

And .wav is precisely the format used to burn audio cds.
