I am thinking about upgrading my PrintMusic 2011 license on Cyber Monday 2016.  Is the offering the latest and curious why its called 2014 and not 2016... Also, is the next version, say 2017 coming out in the very near future with an additional fee?  I have a Windows PC with Windows 10, Anniversary Edition.

The latest version of Finale is just called Finale, and MM refers to it as version 25 (now updated to 25.1) to differentiate it.

Not to discourage you from updating (I think it is well worthwhile, especially moving from PrintMusic) but be sure to allow time to read the  quickstart documentation, look through the tutorials, and perhaps delve deeper where you need more info, since much has changes since the 2011 version of Finale, and I am pretty sure that is true as well for PrintMusic 2011.

Finale 2011 in all its forms is over 6 years old. A lot has changed. Windows users must be running in 64bit for Finale 25 to work.

2012 was released in 2011, 2014 in 2013 and the current version a few months ago. MakeMusic has not announced when the next version will be released but it's unlikely to happen in 2017.
