I downloaded the new finale zip file, but even though the computer says the file has 2G of data, the extraction fails, saying that the file is empty and invalid.

OS? Since the Mac download is .dmg, I am going to guess Windows.

 

The Mac download is 2.86G; the Win download is 2.77G. If the file size really is 2G, you have an incomplete download.

Thanks, Mike. The file size is shown as 2,093,064 kb. Why didn't the download complete? Should I just try again?

Why? Many possible reasons. It was the first day of the 25.2 release. Mine took a long time--it happens.

 

yes, download again and don't let your computer go to sleep during the process.
