When I try to make a pdf from a score it says that there are fonts used that it doesn't know.  And when the pdf is made it is all squares and so forth.  How do I fix it, the older version I had did it perfectly, I need it!!!

WHAT OS?!?!?

Is this the oldest version of Finale ever installed on this computer--if not, what version was?

The simple solution: You need to run the complete font installer. It's available as a custom install in the Finale installer. If you're good now, that's great.

If that does not fix the problem, let us know and I'll tell you what to do if you are on a Mac. Someone else will have to get into it if Windows. In both cases, the exact OS version will be necessary.

Tony would be well advised to obtain a third-party PDF program that can print through the Printer dialog and has the ability to include the fonts used in his score. Some of these are free or available at low cost.

Adrian's advice assums Windows, I bet.

Third party pdf pdf programs will not solve this problem on a Mac. Having he correct fonts installed and making sure there are no conflicts will get you going.
