I'm running Finale 2012 on a Windows 8.1 PC.  I just upgraded the RAM from 16GB to 32GB and now Finale is complaining that there isn't enough memory available.  Any ideas how to get around this?

Are you getting that message when you first start Finale? If so, it has nothing to do with RAM, but usually happens when there's another audio app running.

All kinds of stuff:

1) I get 'Not enough memory to available for this task' also when I log in to Finale.   Running 2014.5 on Windows 10. Any suggestions as to what application(s) I should quit?  Never had any trouble before.

2) I am also told that my 30-day trial period has elapsed.  I have purchased this and have authorized it (many times) but I still get that message.  What's going on?

3) I get 'Unable to open selected midi port'.  How do I determine what application is using the same port?

4) 'Speedy Entry' doesn't work.  (Might be related to some of the above.)

Thanks

2. Windows 10 updates have been known to wipe out Finale authorization. Perhaps Finale has a solution that you can learn using the "Submit a request" link at the top of the page to ask if something affects Windows 8.

4. If your MIDI link is not functioning, some aspects of Speedy entry would definitely be affected.
