I've found Noteperformer very satisfying for playback & export, except: when applying swing either in HP or with a text expression, it seems to contract offbeat 8th notes before a rest, clipping them shorter than you'd want. WI tech support is always very helpful, but on this issue the word is NP's AI was configured for "classical" playback, and further development is necessary to fully accomodate swing playback. I've used a laborious workaround, but wondering if anyone else is having this issue and found a better solution in Finale.

I often use two sores. One for print out and one for playback. I don't think it a good thing to combine the two, for one, the reason you opined.

I agree with Ernie. I’ve long advocated for the two score solution to many problems.
