Hello,

I am using Finale 14.5 on Mac (El Capitan) and I would like to put in some short barlines (vertical barlines, covering only the middle two spaces) for plainchant.  Please could you suggest an easy way to do this?  I have looked at the expression tool but I have to draw by hand and they don't appear in the right place for barlines.  When I click assign, the shape appears somewhere in the middle and I don't know how to get the length right.  

Please help!
