Finale the most recent

 

My program is so touchy I can barely use it. One large problem is when I go to enter a note, the score gets bigger and bigger and I have to go

into VIEW to make it smaller again. If you think that isn't much, consider it if you have to go to view EVERY TIME you enter a note.

In general when I move a note "by hand" It will sprout several more notes and I have to get rid of those by hand also. And if I hit it not quite right, I get extra measures with that note in them.

I just had to close the program and it's not workable.

This is certainly not typical behavior.

Does this happen on all files, or just one? I assume that possibly you have used Finale successfully in the past, and this suddenly began happening. Did it start after upgrading Finale? By "Finale the most recent" do you mean v25?

 

So far as the view getting bigger and bigger, it sounds like you may be accidentally triggering the "zoom" feature. The keystrokes are Control/= (zoom in) and Control/- (zoom out). Are you pressing these accidentally?
