I have an Apple MacBook Pro and am using PrintMusic 2014.5

I have used PrintMusic for years with no problem. I was forced to load El Capitan as my operating system. This is the first time I have gotten into my PrintMusic files since.

When I use the simple note entry, it puts the note one octave above where I want it to be.

How do I fix that?  Thank you

What instrument are you inputting? Are you inputting with the help of a MIDI keyboard or directly with the mouse? (In full Finale at least both methods are possible in Simple.)
