Well i think i need more understanding how the Midi /Audio ->Device Setup-> Edit Percussion Midi Map and
ScoreManager ->drumset ->Percussion Midi Map Editor are used.

The Percussion Midi Map Editor assigned midi notes:
1. Snare and Rimshot assigned to midi note 37
2. Cross-Stick and Ghost Note assigned to midi note 38.
3. Hi-Hat Open and Hi_Hat foot splash assigned to midi note 46

questions:
1. What are the parentheses 38 and (38), 37 and (37), 46 and (46) mean?
2. Can the midi note in Parentheses be changed or overridden?
3. How is Midi /Audio ->Device Setup-> Edit Percussion Midi Map being used with relation to the ScoreManager->drumset-> Percussion Midi

Per the manual:

Percussion Layout Designer dialog box

If a Note Type in the layout is not present in the current Percussion MIDI Map, Finale attempts to assign a 'parent' note type for playback (indicated by a MIDI Note in parentheses). For example, if the staff uses the "Built In GM" map and a Snare Rim Shot is added, Finale displays "(38)" under MIDI Note, which is the Snare Drum note in the "Built In GM" map. If Finale cannot find a suitable parent note type for playback, the MIDI Note is displayed as "--".
