After yesterday's announcement, I reinstalled my latest purchased copy of Finale (which turned out to be 25.5) on my current computer (Windows 11). The program no longer opens -- after the MIDI Setup pane, it hangs on the Finale title card. Old ZenDesk posts aren't much help in my troubleshooting so far -- generally falling into the buckets of "Finale 25 works fine, it's your problem!" or "Finale 25 is no longer supported so update to 27" (which is now impossible).

Are there any command line utilities that I can point at my archive of old MUSX files and have them all convert to MusicXML? I am less concerned about getting Finale 25 to work and more concerned about getting my files out of old file format purgatory.

Thank you!

Thank you for your suggestion. As I said, I cannot open Finale so I cannot use the File menu.

Oh sorry-the forum has been nuts lately so I missed that part. I have no idea that there is any command-line utility to do this. Contact MM support-maybe they can make a one-time exception to allow you to upgrade to F27 or else provide guidance as to why you can't open F25. Good luck.
