The way I prefer is not with the resize tool but through Document Options. That gives you tons of control over elements like barlines, staves, noteheads, clef font etc.

In what way? I’d not heard that and suspect it’s more a matter of them not having yet fully tested with Ventura. Many of us use Finale under Ventura so I don’t think I’d feel it’s much of an issue ...

I’ve been running Ventura since the summer and Finale has been fine. I’m currently on the 13.3 beta and it’s fine.

TBH I only rarely start playback that way. What happens when you do as I do: open Playback Controls and hit Play?
