after applying Music Spacing, for the first time, Update Layout doesn't work any more...

I tried that on Tahoe, but it is still the first time it doesn't work

If I understand you correctly, you are on Mac OS Tahoe - right?

 

There have been reports that in Tahoe some programs (including Finale) do not work as they are supposed to.

But you already knew that - right?

 

According to reports from testers, it seems that Apple have fixed many problems in the next Mac OS version - so that Finale (and other programs) again will work as they are supposed to.

I would not, at this very early stage, make any assumptions about the next version of macOS and Finale. I've seen things be totally fine with an early macOS or iOS beta only to totally mess up things as development continued. Just be wary, that's all.
