Somewhere I read I have to upgrade Finale in order for it to be "migrate-able" to Dorico. I have Finale version 27.4.1.146. Is this version recent enough? Just bought Dorico and don't want to buy another version of Finale. Thanks.

I have the same question but an even older version of Finale 26.3.1.643. Is it not so that all files which were created on Finale regardless of the version (as long as it's not ancient), can be exported as MusicXML and then imported into Dorico?

All of these questions have been answered in many threads over the last few days.

 

27.4.1.146 is the last build and includes MusicXML 4.O. This is recommended for exporting to Dorico. If the crossgrade is purchased through your MakeMusic account, those with older versions will be upgraded to 27.
