Hi, I keep getting this message when trying to install Garritan CFX Grand on my Mac (OS Sonoma). The window keeps popping up and I am unable to shut down my computer without holding down the power button for several seconds. This is an upgrade to the full version I bought yesterday. The Lite version, which I removed, worked fine. Any advice would be very much appreciated! Best wishes, Sam

Installation fails with an error on each file verification. I have no patience for keeping hitting 'OK' and moving to the following error code; I prefer to force stop Mini Mac.

All the Garritan installers contain all the sample data as compressed files, with file extension ".data". These are unpacked and resaved as ".audio" files in the installation process. If the installer can't find the files it needs, then either the file doesn't exist, or it's looking in the wrong place.

That file should be in SamplesData/classic_notation/9/pedalnoises

Is it there?

Either way, you shouldn't need to hard shutdown your Mac -- you can Force Quit the installer processes, at most. If you look in the Dock, there will be a process called SampleManagerCMD.

You can download the complete CFX installer for Mac here:

I'm not sure where the Windows one is, but you may be able to find it in your account.

I was having similar problems until I added the Garritan apps to the All Files access list.
