I bought a new MAC desk top Sept 17th and it came with Sonoma ( thank heavens ) but I need to now move both of my Finale 26 and 27 versions back to my old computer which is now my husbands desk top running Catalina.   I have to upgrade my new computer to Sequoia and I realized that neither of the Finale versions will continue to function.   I'm afraid to go thru the process of removing and reauthorizing unless I know I can do this.  I went thru this process when I bought the new computer with Sonora but it seems that based on what I've read I'm only allowed to do this ONE TIME!  So frustrated ... I also now own Sibelius ( which I haven't used yet but my pianist does) and Dorico ( ditto ..since it was offered cheap ) just to cover all of my bases BUT I AM STILL ONLY A FINALE USER and basically only do lead sheets with melody line and chords & lyrics.

Can anyone please give me some insight?  I hope I can move FINALE back to my old computer.

Hi. I'm confused a bit; are you concerned that Finale won't work with Sequoia? That is just not true. Before switching to Dorico in September, I had been running Finale perfectly fine in the betas of Sequoia as well as the release version and even today, a few versions of Sequoia later, Finale still works as it always did, with the same bugs as before and same dated UX. It is a myth that Finale "is not compatible with Sequoia." It just means that the MakeMusic team, having abandoned further development of Finale last year, didn't feel like testing it out on Sequoia, which had been released around the time of the announcement that Finale development was ceasing. So in other words, you should be fine.
