I have imported a Finale project using MusicXML and having the Garritan JABB playback template in Dorico. After the import, many things look OK, but I have a peculiar problem with the Aria player.

I opened the Aria player for track 1, a JABB Notation - Trombone 1 KS instrument. On the Controls page in the Aria player I have an "Auto-Legato" section where I can control Auto-legato, and on the keyboard I have key switches indicated.

I tried to change instrument to Notation - Trombone 2 KS but found out that I no longer have the "Auto-Legato" section available (it's just a blank space) and that key switches are not indicated on the keyboard. Now, no matter what I do, the key switches and the "Auto-Legato" section are missing. The only way I have found to get them back is to re-import the MusicXML file. What is going on here?

Dorico 5 (5.1.81.2225)
Aria Player 1.959
Aria Engine 1.959 (Win x64)

Unfortunately, the JABB playback template was created with the Standard bank of instruments, not the Notation bank.

The Standard bank is designed for live playing. If I remember correctly, the Notation bank doesn't use Auto-legato. There are also differences between the key switch octaves, and pitch bend range.

Either use the Standard bank of instruments when you change; -- or you'll have to remap the Expression Map for the Notation bank and basically rewrite your own template.
