After successfully (I think) installing NotePerformer 5 in Finale 27.4.1.146 on my MacBook Pro and Sequoia 15.4.1, Finale will open but no score will appear, either a new score or an already created score.

Firt thing I would do is reboot. If that doesn't do it, try reinstalling Finale and see if that fixes you up. Do not uninstall NP5.
If you have a lot of plug-ins installed, Finale may re-verify all of them and might even crash during the process. If that happens, reboot and try again. When everything is verified, you should be good. Again, don't uninstall.
If neither of those suggestions work, reach out to Wallander. Arne was most helpful when NP3 kept crashing Finale 26 requesting system and crash logs till he figured out the worksround I outlined above. He and I both sent our reports to MakeMusic but the suggested fixes did not appear in 27.
Looks like I spoke too soon! After working normally for a bit it was back to the same situation where no file would open. I have tried uninstalling Finale three times and still get the same result. The implication of your response was that I might need to do this multiple times, and I spoke with Arne and he essentially told me the same thing. Is my next step to just continue uninstalling/reinstalling?
Again, don't uninstall.
If (none) of those suggestions work, reach out to Wallander.
MM does not support Sequoia. Arne Wallander supports NotePerformer. Every time you uninstall, the process starts all over. That was the roadblock I encountered after Finale 26/NotePerformer 3 were released.
