I've written a choral piece that uses a grand staff for the voices, since it's homophonic and looks like a typical score you'd see in a church hymnal. At the end of the work the texture becomes very polyphonic, and all 4 voices are very distinct in notes and text. I can keep the format as is, but it becomes hard to read for the singers.  How do I go from the two staves (where I've used two layers with differing stems in both men's and women's part) into each voice part having its own staff?

I'm running version 25 on a Window's computer.

Thanks!

If I understand you correctly, you need a Grand Staff at the beginning of the Finale document, but 4 separate staves at the end of the very same Finale document - right?

In Other Words:

Both layouts in the same document.

You need to have all the staves everywhere in the document (= in every measure).

But you can hide (empty) staves where you do not need them displayed.

You can hide staves with the Staff Tool.
