Default Rests are Whole Rests.

Even if the time signature is 3/4, you can change the Default Whole Rests to Real Whole Rests.

I just tried it, and it worked for me.

In a region in 3/4 time I selected some measures.

Then, I ran the plug-in.

Path:

Plug-ins menu > Note, Beam, and Rest Editing > Change to Real Whole Rests

Perhaps we need more info from you.

* What is the problem you are trying to solve?

If you change the Default Whole Rests to Real Whole Rests, then you can no longer get Multimeasure Rests.

if you apply the "Check region for durations" plugin to those default rests -in a 3/4 measure for instance- it signals them as wrong duration... they are whole note real rests!

You probably mean:

Default Whole Rests are not entries - measures displaying Default Whole Rests are empty measures.

There is no need to convert from Default Whole Rests to Real Whole Rests before running the plug-in Check Region for Durations.

The plug-in will work fine, even if there are empty measures (displaying a Default Whole Rest).
