Is there any way to globally convert triplet figures from imported midi files into conventional straight eighth notation with a swing feel?
If you have a quarter/eighth triplet, you can use JW Meter and Rhythm > Rhythm Transformation > Remove Notated Swing to convert it to two, eighth notes. Then, use the Expression tool > Tempo Marks to apply swing.
Please add the program and version you are using to your signature, in the user control panel.
That’s because they aren't in the next measure. They are in the same measure as the triplet, but they have been pushed forward, so they look like they’re in the next measure. Select one of the notes in the original measure, and use the arrow key to advance the selection until the rest is selected. Then you can delete it.
Most of my triplets don’t leave them. Can you give me an example where yours “always” do? And can you give me a step-by-step of how you are entering them?
