Is it correct that Finale does not enter any extra space after or before a mid measure clef change or am I missing something? I noticed that after a mid measure clef change the notes are being re-notated automatically but no extra space (needed for the clef) is added. This seems strange since you will almost always need extra space. To make extra space by moving every single note horizontally (which can sometimes be a lot of notes!) seems like a detour.
Thanks!

I've never had to do more than Note Spacing / Update Layout. Two keystokes. Have you tried that?

@Mike: I did, but then the lay out of all other parts in this particular measure change into a unwanted mess of notes. I'm looking for a note layout update of only one measure of one part, the measure/part in which the mid measure clef change takes place. Is that possible?
Thanks!

It would affect everything in that measure stack. But only by spacing them a little wider, because the beats have to line up. Can you send me the file? wawoodman at aol dot com

@Mike. Sorry for not replying earlier. I found out the reason why it didn't work initially: one of systems further on appeared to be locked. In the meantime everything seems to work fine by applying note spacing (Ctrl+4 - with unlocked systems!). Thanks for your help!
