I have Finale 2014.5 on a MacBook Air. Is there a way to specify print quality? The scores that I've printed recently look like they were done in some kind of "ink saver" mode -- they're foggy, not as crisp as pages I've printed in the past. I've checked my printer, but don't find that anything has changed there.

I don't think Finale controls that. Rather than printing directly, try exporting as a graphic in PDF format, and printing that.

Thanks, Mike. I thought your suggestion sounded good, and that it would solve the problem, but I printed the PDF and it still looks fuzzy. But even in the process of doing that, I noticed that my score looks fuzzy on my computer screen! I no longer think the problem is with printing -- there's some issue with the resolution of the image as it appears on the screen, and the printer is accurately conveying the image. Other images, outside of Finale, look sharp; Finale now looks cloudy.

SO, new question: Is there something in Finale that effects the resolution of an image as it appears on the screen?

I'll start a new thread for this, as the question/problem has changed.
