Here is an example of what I'm trying to achieve in Finale. Currently, I just have a single Flute line, but I would like to divide it. So that the staff name lists both Flute 1 and Flute 2. How would I do this?
It involves superscript and fudging. I’ve never gotten it right, myself.
In my experience, it’s easiest to copy the Full Staff Name from a template that has divisi already set up.Then, paste that into your instrument list, and edit to suit.
