I'm using Finale Version 25.5.0.290 on Windows 10 Home edition. I am unable to open the following dialog boxes from their respective menu items:

File >> New >> Document With Setup Wizard

Edit >> Preferences

View >> Select Display Colors

Document >> Document Options

I noticed the majority of them are the last item in each menu.

I've tried different documents, I restarted Finale, I restarted my computer, I tried both the shortcut keys and the menu drop-downs, I opened my task manager to see if the windows were hiding somewhere in the background or off screen, I closed everything but Finale to see if the dialogs were opening behind applications or windows,  None of these worked.  Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Your next step (if you have not done so already) would be to "Submit a request" directly to MakeMusic (using the link at the top of this page) so that they can start work on the problem when they get back to the office Monday.

Os this a new install or an upgrade. What I mean is, are/were there older versions installed before 25? It shouldn't make a difference but sometimes it does.

Good question.  This is an upgrade.  I'd have to dig up my original install disk, but I believe I started with a version of PrintMusic 2014.  So yes, you are correct, there was an older version installed prior to this update.  Maybe I need roll back to the original version and see what happens.

No, you don’t need the original installation. Something is confusing your system—this is most likely to happen when there is more than one version installed. 

 

I don’t have Finale installed on my Win machine or I’d be able to tell you where to look. Don’t worry, this is fixable.
