I'm have trouble with text chosen in the Repeat Tool when printing parts to .pdf.  Even though I've saved a part right before printing, the text disappears in generating the .pdf. It make no difference whether, in the settings for the text, it's "Top Stave Only" or "All Staves". Simply deleting the text completely and adding it fresh doesn't work.

I'm noticing this in F14 (my most current version) when bringing an arrangement in from F11 or F8.

TIA

1) When you view the linked part on the computer screen (Document menu > Edit Part > …), then does the repeat text display in the part?

2) What happens if you - instead of “printing” to PDF - use the Graphics Tool to export the part as a PDF file?

Thanks for the reply.

1.) When view in "Edit Part", the text is missing. Of course whatever linking between parts and score may be set up for me by default, gets cancelled as soon as I edit the part into something readable and sensible. (What I get from a "Parts Extraction" is simply all the notation with no layout. Sometimes, I think I spend as much time on the parts as on the score.)

2.) That works, and it's not that many more mouse clicks than a straight "Print-to-.pdf"

What I was hoping to find (because this wasn't affecting ALL my score/parts files) that there was some minor check-box missing in files which prevented proper inclusion of Repeat elements.

Thanks for the work-around,

"Export-to-.pdf" fails to work on one part out of 5 from this score. (At ealst this works for the other four.) And I get the same behavior out of this route as a straight "Print-to-.pdf": as soon as I execute and leave the dialog box to go print, the trouble element changes from visible to invisible on the screen.

When all else fails, set pen to paper <G>.

Without seeing an actual Finale document we can only guess about the culprit.

Unfortunately it is not possible to attach a Finale document here in this forum.

You can upload the document elsewhere, and here add a hyperlink to the document.

Since it works with the other four parts, I suspect that the “problem part” has a setting different from the other parts.

If I understand you correctly, the problem does not occur in the score, right?

I suppose that the score is set up to, only display the repeat text once, e. g. only on the top staff in the score, right?
