If I understand you correctly, you are talking about a “real” time signature of 1/1, which displays as a time signature of 4/4, right?

Then this must be the solution:

NB:

Since the “real” time signature has only one beat (with the duration of a whole note), then you will find that Slash Notation only displays one slash (NOT four slashes) in each measure.

Obviously it is only an issue if you use Slash Notation in this (very special) time signature.

yes, that's sort of what i want. but i don't want it to be 4/4. i actually need a bar of 3/1 - so, 48 sixteenth notes all beamed together. and i'd like to know how to do this for other time signatures.

Then this must be the solution:

The general solution is that you - in the dialog box Composite Time Signature - can type more than one character in the same field.

In this particular case it is

1

over

1+1+1 (= five characters in one field)
