Hello!

I've been preparing for a jump to university residence next year, and one of the biggest parts of that is turning my desktop composition space into a more portable one. For the most part, I've done this with minimal issues. I did find one strange issue and I wondered if anyone here had any advice on how to deal with it:

When my Surface Pro 3 is running Finale 25 into an external moniter, there is absolutely no input lag whatsoever. However, if I have finale running on the surface's screen, it takes a second to update the screen when using simple entry, resulting in an extremely unsatisfying experience. All I have to do to avoid the issue is drag finale onto the external monitor; however, this is less helpful if I'm trying to write away from both my desktop and surface dock setups. Any ideas on fixing this? I'm assuming it may have something to do with the high resolution the default monitor has.

Thanks!

-Michael

Finale does not perform well on high resolution monitors (this is not unique to finale, BTW) but there are workarounds. Not sure that is your problem, though as yours is not a common complaint.

I have not submitted it yet, but I will do so now. Right now I'm using a high DPI compatibility mode on Windows 10 to get it to display properly on the 100% scaling secondary monitor without having to change my surface's scaling from 150%, but, if I recall correctly, the notation lag existed before I applied the compatibility mode as well.
