No playback.  no scrolling through score.  speakers on and working (other audio works).  Checked 'Test Audio Output' - no test sound.

Finale 25; windows 10.

Do you have another program open that may have taken total control of the sound card? Some Steinberg programs, for example, will do this unless you opt out of total control in their sound-card driver configuration. Other programs may do this as well.

no other programs are open, just the internet in order to be here!

I have Ableton Live but it is not open and hasn't been open for a few weeks.

Check your audio drivers.

Go to MIDI/Audio > Device Setup > Audio Setup and see what your copy of Finale uses as its driver. I find mine works best using DirectSound.

You can also check your output path and run a test sound from the panel.

 

 

I take it you can get sound from non-Finale programs.
