Finale 2014.5, Windows 7. I get a msg in Finale about downloading a update to MY version. But I can't find what has been fixed and what has been changed. Where do I find that info with each update?

Info about what has been fixed, is in the Read Me document that was installed with the Finale version.

This document also has info about fixed defects in previous versions.

There is also info in the online manual.

In the manual, do a search for the words “fixes in finale”, and for the words “new features in finale”.

IIRC The upgrade to 2014.5 is v25, and it is not a free update.

Not sure whether the demo version of v25 includes the Read Me file (it should) which would outline the fixes. Most notable change is that v25 has gone to a 64-bit architecture, which means you would need the 64-bit version of Win 7 to run it. Also, compatibility with some plug-ins has changed.

To J Adrian - Version 2014.5 has updates to it. v25 is the next major release of Finale. But each version now has updates. MakeMusic calls both a "new version" Perhaps they should differentiate between updates and versions. I see where the confusion is.

I just noticed my responses come from people with version 25. Do your answers also apply version 2014.5 on Windows 7 ? Is the manual for my version the same as the manual for your version?

IIRC Many folks who clicked on the update offers/button for Finale 2014.5 found themselves on the v25 page.

Not sure about your other question.
