I have been running v25 for over a year without any problems and suddenly today it will not start up. I rebooted - no go. I reinstalled v25 - no go.
Here is the error from the Windows event log:
Faulting application name: Finale.exe, version: 25.3.0.276, time stamp: 0x58d176dc
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.17134.165, time stamp: 0xf4df6dc2
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000000068fc

Any ideas on what I can do to regain the use of Finale?

Finale Version: 25.3.0.276
Windows 10

Thank you,

Michael

Just restarted mine successfully to make sure a Windows 10 update was not to blame, so I expect you can rule that out.

Yes, a reboot was the first thing I tried. Second effort was uninstalling a reinstalling Finale. No go.
The offending dll is ntdll.dll, which is known for doing this very thing with other programs as well. I'm kinda hoping someone from Make Music can tell me which version of ntdll.dll will work with this version of Finale and I can download that version of the dll to replace the one on my PC.

You could ask MakeMusic support directly using the "Submit a request" link at the top of the page if you have not already tried that.
