Windows 10, Finale 2012

Hello.

I am writing out some repetitive musical exercises and to make the work easier in producing the variants I would like be be able to substitute one pich for another throughout the whole document. The "Search and Replace" tool doesn't seem to do anything even though I think I have followed the manual's instructions correctly. Any tricks or tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
