My files always saved automatically as .musx, but have now started to be saved as .bakx.  I have not made any changes to any of the settings so when I try to save a file (as .musx) it only now saves as .bakx.

Finale 25, Windows 10.

Help please.

Have you tried using Save As.. and erasing the extension so Finale/Windows has to recreate it?

Do you save all versions of your files in the same folder?

 

(Perhaps someone who uses auto-backup can add additional info here.)
