Just having something bizarre happening.

First, let me say Finale was not shut down properly due to my system crashing.

When I start it up, nothing open yet, it starts playing a note (actually sounds like a

closed HI HAT but that doesn't matter I think).

Just a steady beat playing.

I re-load MIDI driver, it stops for a moment, then starts again.

Switch from VST to MIDI, then sound changes but keeps going.

MIDI: "All notes off"  - nothing.

How is this possible?

I am thinking only thing to do is download new version and re-install.

(I have the latest version).

Any other ideas?
