IT guy here. We are running Finale 2011 in a virtual environment... VMware to be exact, using UEM to save the user's settings. OS is Win7 w/SP1.

My problem is this: After a recompose, the registration is wiped out and the user has to re-enter the registration code. This recompose happens every weekend. You can see how annoying this is to my end user. Of course we are afraid we might mess up our registration on Finale's end of things.

Do you have any suggestions on how to keep registration after a recompose? I have tried the UEM Profiler and that did not solve my problem. My next guess is to register the master image and then push out the change to my end user to see what happens.

I would appreciate any help and guidance you can give.

Click on the "Submit a request" link on the top right of the screen where your profile info is. You can get direct contact with Finale MakeMusic that way.

Thanks George, but I have done so already and was told that they no longer support version 11. That is why I am posting here.

No updates have been made to Finale 2011's License agent/client — it no longer compatible with the MM License Server on the Mac after OS 10.9. Although it usually runs if previously installed and the OS is updated (through 10.12 only), fresh installations are not possible and it cannot run in 10.13 and later. I have tested this.

It appears that, unlike the Mac, Win 7 users have a workaround. As 2011 is no longer supported, this is the best you can hope for unless someone from VMWare can pull a rabbit out of the hat. Like it or not, Finale 2011 is 8 years old last June.
