Good morning,

I have a finale version 2014.5.7098. However it is in English and I do not speak fluently. I wonder if it is possible to download a French version or change the settings for it to appear in french ? 

Other question : How do you hide the ties of the notes ? (I'm preparing a dictation for my students)

You can not make Finale appear in french by changing some settings in the program, sorry.

The french version of Finale is a separate program.

Since it takes some time to translate everything into french, the french version is not available immediately when a new Finale version is released.

Since you are talking about Finale 2014.5, I suspect that its french version has been available for some time now.

I am not sure I understand the context, but have you considered using the Staff Tool to, not display ties?

Instead of hiding the ties, why not prepare a printable version and a separate playback version?
