Hi, I can't get slurs (not ties) to sound in playback VST.  Any suggestions?  Windows 8

What does a slur sound like?

What sounds are you slurring? (What package? Which instruments?)

What Human Playback (HP) settings are you using?

Are any articulations applied beneath/within the slurs?

Sorry for the delay in my reply.  A slur means that the notes are connected without re-articulation.  I'm using viola in VST, with standard Human Playback.  No articulations beneath the slurs.

No matter what I do, the slur does not playback.  Would appreciate help

Hi, Susan. Lucky you - I put a tie/slur across two (identical) notes, and the second note ALWAYS sounds. I don't want it to!

It is just a simple piano, in VST and/or MIDI playback, standard Human Playback. Notes entered by mouse, ie not speedy entry from keyboard.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks, Peter

Tie and slur are NOT THE SAME THING. if you use a tie across two identical notes, the second will not sound. If you use a slur (smart shape) it will.

I am having the same issue. I can’t get the slur in playback on a simple guitar part.
